I joined the TurboTax tax team to lead the launch of a new set of products under the TurboTax umbrella called “Business Tax”. At the time it was 1 other product designer, 1 content designer, 1 researcher and myself. TurboTax has a strong foundation set but it was mainly personal taxes when it came to their online solutions. With a short window from when I joined in August to Filing season in December. We needed to gather all we could leveraging what was already out there.

As we understand the Business Tax customers we identified that a high percentage also used QuickBooks. With that we decided to push a pilot around shipping a new product offering to those customers called QuickBooks Live Tax within the next tax season.
